Mansel Junior Football Club came into being in 1974. Its aim is to promote junior football and foster fair play and competition in all age groups, encouraging parents and friends to fully support all functions and activities of the club.
For the season 2005-2006, the club is again running only the one team, at Under-18 level.
The team plays in the City of Southampton Youth Football League.
Until the 2002-2003 season, the club had its home at the Bakers Drove ground, Nursling, on the outskirts of Southampton, Hampshire. However, due to the loss of the hut and equipment following the burning down of the hut, the team now plays its home matches at Test Park, home of Brendon.
Team colours are black and white striped shirts, black shorts and red socks.
